A/Prof Amanda Wade from the Barwon South West Public Health team was awarded a $40,000 Western Alliance Rapid Applied Research Translation Grant for her project on Implementation of a Community of Practice for Hepatitis B in Barwon South West.
Dr Sajal Sahar from CIIDIR was awarded a Shepherd Foundation Grant for his project Point-of-care Group A Streptococcus pharyngitis testing for antibiotic stewardship in general practice: a pilot pragmatic randomised controlled trial.
Victoria Kostadinov, Barwon Health Intern pharmacist was awarded an award at the Monash University Intern Foundation Program Conference for her poster entitled Medication Discrepancies in Discharge Summaries – How Prevalent are They?
Dr Chiara Bortolasci, Barwon Health CSTU Clinical Trials Manager won the 2024 Best Paper Award at the 26th Annual Conference of the International Society for Bipolar Disorders, held in Iceland, for her paper Use of a gene expression signature to identify trimetazidine for repurposing to treat bipolar depression.
