Barwon Health Foundation Research Seed Funding Initiative

Through the generous support of the Barwon Health Foundation, we are delighted to announce the Research Seed Funding Initiative (RSFI), which will award 7 x 1 year grants of $20,000 for 2027. Applications are open to those in clinical, academic and administrative roles at Barwon Health.

Aligned with our Research Strategic Plan 2022 – 2032, the Barwon Health Foundation RSFI aims to support investigators to grow or establish their research programs and foster impactful health and medical research for the benefit of our community.

KEY 2026 FUNDING ROUND DATES

RSFI applications open: Monday 20 July 2026
RSFI applications close: COB Monday 21 September 2026
Successful applicants advised: Tuesday 24 November 2026 at Research Symposium
Funding to be allocated in December 2026 – January 2027
